AEG PRICE PROMISE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“Terms”)

1. These Terms apply to the AEG Price Promise and apply in addition to the AEG Terms and Conditions.

2. The Promotion will commence at 00:01 (BST) on the 1st June 2024 and will finish (last purchase date) at 11:59 (GMT) om 31st December 2024 (the "Promotion Period").

 

Eligibility

3. To be eligible to participate in the Price Promise you must be a resident (aged 18+) of either the United Kingdom, Isle of Man or Channel Islands.

4. Employees or agents of Electrolux plc that are involved in the operation of the Price Promise or anyone professionally connected to this Price Promise are not eligible to enter.

5. The Price Promise is only available to consumers (e.g., not to any business or reseller). Retailers, distributors, resellers and any person who purchases a product for resale or otherwise not as the end user of the product, may not participate in this Price Promise and is specifically excluded as a participant.

 

Price Promise

6. Consumers who purchase any new AEG product from AEG.co.uk and within 7 days subsequently find the same product for sale online at a lower price by any of the retailers listed in Table 1 (each, a "Selected Retailer"), with the same service conditions ("Lower Priced Product") will be eligible to claim a cashback amount ("Refund") equal to the difference between the advertised purchase price of the product and the advertised price online by the Selected Retailer of the Lower Priced Product.

7. Consumers who have used a coupon or promotional discount code in order to lower the actual price paid on their purchased product are not eligible to take part in the Price Promise, unless the coupon or promotional discount code terms and conditions specifically state otherwise.

8. Reference to AEG.co.uk is to the public UK consumer site only. Purchases from any AEG closed networks (such as its student portals or employee portals) or from AEG via any marketplace are specifically excluded from this Price Promise.

9. To qualify for a Refund, the Lower Priced Product found at a Selected Retailer must meet the following conditions at the time of Claim (and in any instance shall be applicable within seven (7) days of the date of purchase):

  1. The Lower Priced Product must be advertised and offered by a Selected Retailer to purchase at a lower price that is publicly available on the URL shown below in Table 1. Purchases from call centres are excluded;
  2. The Lower Priced Product offered must be currently in stock and available to order and pay for dispatch or collection via the URL shown below in Table 1 (i.e., available to 'add to basket');
  3. The SKU of the Lower Priced Product must be a UK product and identical in terms of make, model, size or colour to the original purchased product from AEG.co.uk;
  4. The Lower Priced Product offered must be brand new, unmodified, and in original packaging. Refurbished, reconditioned, used, damaged, returned, modified, open box, demonstrator or otherwise not in the same condition products (including their packaging) are excluded from the Price Promise;
  5. Lower Priced Products available at a lower price due to loyalty/employment programmes, cashback promotions or schemes, bundle pricing, voucher codes, trade in promotions, network/data/monthly contracts or other collective deals are excluded from the Price Promise;
  6. The Lower Priced Product must not be a pricing error by the Selected Retailer;
  7. The Participant must be able to show reasonable supporting evidence of the above.

10. To claim, consumers must visit www.aeg-pricepromise.co.uk  within 7 days of purchasing a product on AEG.co.uk, complete the claim form with their name, contact information, address and any other requested information, including proof of purchase, order confirmation, serial number of the Promotion Product and a screenshot of the Selected Retailer's advertisement of the Promotion Product at the lower price (meeting the requirements set out above) along with the applicable URL ("Claim").

11. Claims may only be submitted within seven (7) days of the consumer purchasing the relevant product (the "Claim Period"). Claims received after the close of the Claim Period will not be eligible for a Refund. For the avoidance of doubt, the date of purchase shall count as day one (1).

11. If the consumer has selected a delivery date for the product which is later than seven (7) days from purchase, or the product has otherwise not been delivered within seven (7) days, the consumer will be able to register and save their information (including proof of the discounted Promotion Product available in accordance with Condition 11) in the Claim form during the Claim Period and return to complete their Claim with their IMEI or serial number and any other necessary information within seven (7) days of receiving the product.

12. Participating consumers are entitled to a maximum of one (1) Refund per model (as determined by the unique SKU) of product purchased and subsequent valid Claim made per year. Only a maximum of four (4) Refunds per household (residential address) per year may be claimed, regardless of the quantity of products purchased. With a max claim value of £400

13. Participating consumers will be sent an email to confirm their Claim has been received upon entry of a Claim. The Claim will be processed for validation twenty one (21) days after the initial claim to account for returns, refunds and cancellations. The validation process will take up to 10 days to be completed.

14. Providing that the Claim is found to be valid in accordance with these Terms, the participating consumer will receive a further email confirming that their Claim has been fully approved ("Claim Approval") and their Refund payment is being processed. Following the Claim Approval notification mentioned above, the Refund payment will be processed within 28 days at the latest from the date the claim has been validated. If the Claim is rejected (for example because the product has been returned), the participating consumer will be notified by email of such rejection before the 28-day window has passed.

15. If the Claim Approval has not been received, it is the participating consumer’s responsibility to contact AEG’s customer service team by email at aeg@promotion-support.com or calling on +44 (0)8000 445085 within seven (7) days of the date it should have been received.

16. If a Claim is deemed to have been submitted incorrectly, the participating consumer will be notified via email and offered the opportunity to provide the required information before the last claim date 31st January 2024. If no response is received, then the Claim shall be marked as invalid, and the participating consumer will no longer be eligible to receive the Refund.

17. Claims that are incomplete or damaged will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted by AEG for lost, delayed or damaged data which occurs during any communication or transmission of Claims.

18. Participating consumers will receive the Refund by way of bank transfer to the account details provided by the consumer during the Claim process.

19. AEG reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify Claims which it considers do not comply with these Terms.

20. AEG shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid Claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to proof of purchase, as well as the identity, age and other relevant details of a participating consumer.

21. If a participating consumer returns or cancels the delivery of a product before submitting a Claim, the consumer must not make a Claim. If a participating consumer returns or cancels the delivery of a product after submitting a Claim, the Claim will be invalid, and the consumer must cancel the Claim immediately by calling +44 (0)8000 445085 or emailing aeg@promotion-support.com

 

Privacy and Data Protection

23. AEG’s use of any personal information submitted by the participating consumer shall be limited to communications about the Price Promise and for managing the Claim and Refund process. The participating consumer hereby consents to their personal information being used for this purpose and confirms that it agrees with AEG’s privacy policy available at https://www.aeg.co.uk/overlays/data-privacy-statement. The participating consumer may withdraw consent to such use of personal information by writing to AEG or by using the opt-out process outlined in the privacy policy.

24. Other than as set out in these Terms, the details and information provided by the participating consumer in relation to the Price Promise or making a Claim will not be used for any other purpose, nor shall they be passed to any third party.

25. We work with third party suppliers to help give the best possible service to consumers and ensure safe payments. These third party suppliers are.

General

26. AEG shall not be liable for any interruption to the Price Promise whether due to force majeure or other factors beyond its control.

27. AEG reserves the right to vary these Terms or cancel the Price Promise for any reason at its sole discretion. For any consumer who has purchased prior to any change or cancellation, these Terms shall still apply.

28. AEG will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive submissions due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or Claims; (c) any computer or communications related malfunctions or failures; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of AEG; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Price Promise.

29. Participating consumers will be solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes and any other relevant costs or expenses which are not stated in these Terms as being included.

30. By participating in this Price Promise, participating consumers agree, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable laws, to release and hold AEG harmless from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in or in connection with the Price Promise, including without limitation, awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of the Refund. The above limitation of liability shall not apply to liability arising from fraud (including fraudulent misrepresentation), death or personal injury caused as a result of AEG's negligence.
